But why do they reward?
Businesses use this grabbing technique to entice customers to keep coming back. Once hooked into the current reward program, the customers come back to gain the rewards and even more! Rewards maybe different per company, however the more you spend the more you are rewarded from the company. In a recent survey, 4 out of 5 people have said that their loyalty program have given them a better experience with the business with their rewards. |
Reward Programs are evolving
Just like humans, reward programs are evolving and expanding into our daily lives. Reward programs are becoming one more than just discounts and small coffee shop cards, but more so in giving prepaid gift cards and cycles.
They're also exploring into Social Media, a place where almost everyone is most of the time. Coming into our personal lives and enticing us to promote their business for your personal use.
Sounds like a bad thing to get into your personal life?
Not really.
All they business wants to do is to get to know you as a person. They want to see what the public wants the most from their shop and what they can sell to gain profits.
The Drawbacks
Well, in order to get to know you they have to get some form of contact. This being Email, Phone numbers, etc.
But, where does it all go? Who does it go to?
That's one thing that the company must withhold with your information. Policies are created to safeguard your information and give you rights to protect your data. This being your name, email and personal status. This is one issue because some companies give information to third-party programs that give you scams and outside offers you never obliged to hear (In other terms, your daily spam mail).
So the question is, Are reward programs really rewarding? or are they saying that advertisements can get personal?
That's up to you to decide.
